Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest events in your life. Your RE/MAX broker understands that, and works in your best interests to ensure it comes together quickly and under the best circumstances. That's why RE/MAX offers you the exclusive protection of the Tranquilli-T Program, which guarantees your peace of mind!

Delay and withdrawal

Whether you are buying or selling a property, certain unforeseen situations may occur. For example:

  • Financing withdrawal
  • Job loss
  • Sparation
  • Fire
  • A surveying problem

Such occurrences may delay—and even cancel—the signing of the deed of sale. With the RE/MAX Tranquilli-T program, if such a situation should occur anytime after all the conditions of the offer to purchase are met, the additional charges incurred - over and above $300 - are covered by the program for a period of 180 days, up to a maximum of $25,000.

When the buyer dies

With the RE/MAX Tranquilli-T Program, in the event of death of either the buyer or his/her spouse, you will be protected and the transaction will be guaranteed. In fact, between the time when all the conditions of the offer to purchase are met and the signing takes place at the notary's office, if the Estate no longer wants to buy the house, the agreed upon selling price is paid to you by the program.

Legal assistance and legal protection

The Tranquilli-T Program provides you with free legal consultation as well as legal coverage, for any legal problems related to your transaction. Within twelve months after signing the deed of sale at the notary's office, if you should have a question or a concern, such as neighbour problems or if you have found a hidden defect, you have access to various resources in order to reach a favourable settlement:

  • Free telephone consultation. Useful information and answers to your questions will be given to you by a lawyer who is competent in real estate transactions.
  • In the event that legal procedures become necessary, legal fees will be covered up to $5,000 per incident, up to a maximum of $10,000.
